{Monday Morning}

I thought I would start this week with a quick little Valentines giveaway, so lets get straight to the details:

{WIP Wednesday}
Well...this week I have been quite busy trying to get some stock built up for the shop. I have listed a few papercuts, Instant collections (of both notebooks and a few products grouped together) and a small envelope of 14 papercut feathers that would be great to use in collages or to make a small paper mobile!
I have also taken some better pictures of my first Alphabet card that will be listed as soon as I have finished designing the whole range!
I also thought I should also let you know that the last dates for postage of mrYen Valentines goodies is as follows:
UK
Wednesday 9th by First class Royal Mail (at a push Friday 11th if you want to risk it!)
USA/Elsewhere
Friday 28th by Royal Mail airmail (at a push Monday 31st if you want to risk it!)

Valentines Cards
I thought I would check in and let you know that I now have Valentines cards available in both my shop and my etsy shop! plus I would also like to say thanks to the people over at LivingEtc, Kristen at PaperCrave & Emily at The Daily Smudge for featuring my Valentines products!
I also thought it would be a good time to mention that if money is an issue, but you would still like to buy papercut pieces, then greeting cards are a great way to do so! After they have been sent (or before) you can frame them as mini artworks and my Valentines cards are the perfect size (and price) to do so. You can see below, how they all look framed - even the 3D pop up heart can be framed - if you have the right frame (I bought this box frame from IKEA)...so giving a mrYen greeting card this Valentines day is also giving a piece of art.
I always consider ways to make my products & papercuts accessible to a wide range of people - and what a sentimental way to re-use a card instead of just throwing it away or storing it in a drawer for years!

I am finally back in business and over the flu! I have updated my big cartel shop & my etsy shop with some new papercuts and gift tags for Valentines day - soon to be joined by some valentines day cards.
The product for Valentines day I am most proud of is the customisable papercut key that is available. I have wanted to make something customisable like this available for a long time now and I think I will keep this product on after Valentines day has passed too! It feels good to be back to work and I can't wait to show you all the new stationery items I will be bringing out - both printed and papercut. I really want to focus more on my papercut/printed stationery this year as I want my items to be practical and what better products to make than stationery! (...think notebooks, notepads, sketchbooks, tape, postcards, note-cards and more!)

Well I hope you all had a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!I started the year with the flu, which means there will be a delay in both my etsy and big cartel shops re-opening....but! when they do they will be full of paper goodies for Valentines day, plus lots of brand new notebooks, notepads, greeting cards and other bits of stationery!
This year I am introducing printed goods to my shops too and will be listing some thank you cards as the first printed designs for sale. I am also ready to start accepting custom papercuts again, which make great personalised presents for loved ones - making great presents for Valentines day!
Here's hoping 2011 will be a great year for us all!

today is the day for a lot of laundry to be done!
While the clothes are washing, I will be cleaning the studio and cutting my new papercut design that I started last night, which I initially started as a valentines day design but could also be for any occasion where you want to let that special person know how you feel! I intend to cut the design out onto a vibrant red paper too as it seems appropriate. I cant wait too as so far I have only used black / white / grey paper to do my papercuts and haven't used a colour yet!
As soon as it is complete it will be listed in my shop.
